A Hermiston man who recently ran for public office is publicly releasing a hate-filled letter he received in his mailbox this week.
Jonathan Lopez posted a copy of the letter on his public Facebook account. The post has been shared hundreds of times in less than 24 hours.
¿Quién envía cosas racistas a través de Facebook? Su cuenta está adjunta a su mensaje, doofus !! Aquí está la carta racista:
The letter is laced with derogatory and racist terms and addressed to Jonathan Lopez.
In one line from the letter, the author said, “Don’t waste your time trying to become anything in this county we will make sure you never win and your family suffers along with all the other f****** Mexicans in the area!” The letter ends by stating, “Sincerely, America!”
¡¡TERRIBLE!! Aunque no es mucho peor de lo que algunos de ustedes me dicen en los comentarios. ¡¡Es una broma!! Un poco De todos modos ... aquí está su reacción:
In his post, Jonathan writes about the experience of receiving the letter and his background as a person. Jonathan states, “Many don’t know me or who I am and where I stand. As an American born man who served in the USCG, fire and rescue services. I’m also proud of where my parents and grandparents were born and raised, Mexico. I have lived a life full of obstacles and challenges Including racism. There is no room or tolerance of that.”
Jonathan also states that he hopes people can come together and find common ground. “We now more than ever must address these issues that are destroying and distancing us from unification,” Jonathan writes. “We must be mature and adults about things and address them properly at a table or meeting in which we can come to an agreement or mutual understanding!”
Jonathan ended his Facebook post saying that he isn’t mad at the person who wrote the hateful letter. He says, “I hold no resentment for whom ever wrote this; I’m just simply heart broken for the lack of knowledge, education and respect missing. I pray for you and wish you prosperity in your life. God bless us all!”
Hmmm Creo que sé lo que no estaba enojado con la persona que escribió la carta, porque ¡LO ESCRIBIÓ MISMO! Jajaja Alguien lo descubrió, lo acusó y se dio cuenta del engaño. Del Daily Wire:
Lopez previously ran for a commissioner seat in Umatilla County but lost in the primary. He reported the letter to Hermiston Police, who investigated Lopez’s claims and determined that, yet again, someone who publicly claimed to be the victim of a hate crime was not, in fact, a victim.
KEPR-TV News reported Tuesday that police determined Lopez sent the letter to himself and that Lopez verbally and in a written statement admitted to fabricating the letter.
Lopez’s case has been referred to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office to charge the former politician with filing a false police report, which is just a Class A misdemeanor in the state.
¡Upsie! Él totalmente Jussie Smolletted a sí mismo. ¿Estas personas no leen las noticias? Geez ¡¡¡Pero eso no es todo!!!
In addition to the misdemeanor, Lopez is now under investigation for potential election fraud related to the Stolen Valor Act of 2013. KEPR reported Lopez may have presented false credentials while running for county commissioner.
“Additionally, the Hermiston Police are sending the Office of the District Attorney verifiable information of potential election fraud as it pertains to the Stolen Valor Act of 2013 and other false credentials presented by Mr. Lopez during his run for county commissioner. This in conjunction with a lengthy criminal history record may result in the filing of additional charges,” the outlet reported.
Tipo. GUAU. Buena suerte con eso, supongo.
