David Duke Blasts Media For 'Smearing Donald Trump Unfairly' (VIDEO)

The former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard said on Fox News Radio's "The Alan Colmes Show" that while he was urging his "people" to vote Trump, that didn't amount to giving Trump his personal endorsement. Duke said last week that said it was "treason" not to vote for Trump.

Colmes asked if there was a difference between those words of support and an endorsement. Duke insisted there was a difference because he has problems with some of Trump's policy positions, most notably the candidate's approach to Israel.

"I didn’t go to the media about this. I didn’t make a media issue out about this," Duke said. "A very biased media tried to make an issue, and we’re talking about how they’re really smearing Donald Trump unfairly and with a lot of deception by the major media."

Duke was referring to reporters who repeatedly asked Trump questions about whether or not he would disavow Duke and his supporters.

Duke also said he considers himself "a human rights activist," not a white nationalist.
